HOLY HELL!
This vintage slice of comedy and exploitation is like a mash-up of Saturday Night Live and Monty Python, except with even more bare breasts and lude humor. I can’t believe this isn’t a classic!
This is a movie that probably couldn’t be made anymore, with its undeniable sexualization of women. But maybe I’m wrong. With skits involving nude news broadcasts, fetish parties, and a private investigator named The Big Salami, and with repeated interludes featuring a braless dancing beauty, I can’t imagine too many sickos like myself not enjoying themselves.
And–oh yeah–Jim Carrey is one of the stars! Obviously, this is before Ace Ventura made him a household name. In fact, he’s sparsely featured in The Sex & Violence Family Hour, but he’s at the top of his game, in the scenes he does have. In the skit “Beyond the Valley of Taste,” he is particularly funny.
